It’s only the second time in 25 years my home was chosen for commercial filming. I think I chase a lot of location people away because of my concern for an 1894 Queen Anne Victorian; they know they have to fix what they break, and that’s expensive in a home like this. The only damage this time was ripped-up roses, which were replaced and took months to fully grow in. I didn’t get to meet J.K. Simmons or anything. The kid was OK but he had handlers to isolate him from interaction. Looked everywhere for his parents and never found them. I did get five grand, tax free, better than a kick in the balls. .
